History of Dance

This introductory course to the History of Stage Dance in the West presents and contextualizes its main periods through historiographical texts and video excerpts. Structured in three independent and progressive modules, it covers: court dance and the emergence of classical ballet; its developments up to modern dance; and finally, contemporary dance.
